GRS is an internationally recognized certification program that sets standards for the use of recycled materials in textile production. In order to get certified as GRS yarn supplier, yarns must contain a minimum of 20% recycled material. It can be either cotton, polyester or any other content. The recycled material or fiber must come from pre-consumer waste, such as textile scraps and waste, or post-consumer waste, such as used clothing or plastic waste material from consumer.
