What categories of yarn does Abtex International supply?
Abtex International supplies yarn across five main categories: Raw Yarns (cotton carded, combed, siro, poly cotton, PC combed, PC carded, open end, core spun, slub), Dyed Yarns (bleached white, black dyed, cone dyed, gassed mercerized), Melange Yarns (cotton, heather grey, poly cotton, open end, multicolor neppy, neppy melange), Recycled & GRS Certified Yarns, and Fancy Yarns (siro/mouline, injection, triblend, mousse, siro slub, neppy, snow effect, shiny, PV injection, and more).
What count range is available?
Cotton and PC blended yarns are available from Ne 4s to Ne 40s. Fancy and melange yarns typically range from Ne 6s to Ne 30s. Piled counts can be arranged as required. Please share your specification and we will confirm availability.
Are your recycled yarns GRS certified?
Yes. Our recycled yarn range is certified under the Global Recycled Standard (GRS). We hold a scope certificate and issue a Transaction Certificate (TC) with every GRS order. Documentation is suitable for brand sustainability reporting and EU regulatory requirements.
What is Siro / Mouline yarn and what are its variants?
Siro / Mouline is a cotton or polyester blended yarn made using siro spinning — it can be produced with or without slubs. Related types include Mouline Yarn, Mock Twist Yarn, Jaspe Yarn, and Siro/Mouline/Jaspe Yarn, each offering a different visual texture and twist character for fashion fabrics.
What is the MOQ and how are orders dispatched?
Minimum order quantities start from 250 kg and scale to full container loads (FCL). All orders are dispatched FOB Karachi port via sea or air freight. Packing is typically on cones or in poly bags.
Can you supply custom blend ratios for PC and fancy yarns?
Yes. Polyester-cotton blend ratios can be adjusted to your specification — common ratios include 65/35, 52/48, and 60/40. For fancy yarns, count, fibre composition, nep colour, and injection ratios can be customised on inquiry. Please share your technical specification and we will confirm feasibility.
What is the difference between ring spun and open end yarn?
Ring spun yarn is produced by continuously twisting and thinning fibres on a ring frame — it is stronger, finer, and smoother, making it suitable for fine knits and shirting. Open end (OE) yarn is rotor-spun, producing a bulkier, slightly hairier yarn at lower cost — ideal for coarser counts in denim, workwear, and terry towels. Abtex supplies both ring spun and open end yarn across cotton and blended fibre types.
Do you supply both cotton and polyester-cotton blended yarns?
Yes. We supply 100% cotton yarns (carded, combed, siro, open end, core spun, slub) as well as polyester-cotton blended yarns including PC combed, PC carded, CVC open end, and a wide range of fancy blended types. Blend ratios from CVC 80/20 to PC 65/35 are available depending on yarn type.
What certifications do you hold?
We hold a GRS (Global Recycled Standard) Scope Certificate for our recycled yarn range, and issue a Transaction Certificate (TC) per shipment for GRS orders. Standard export documentation — certificate of origin, commercial invoice, packing list, and bill of lading — is provided with every order. Additional third-party testing or lab reports can be arranged on request.
How do I request a yarn sample?
Use the contact form on this page or reach us via WhatsApp on +92 345 6600600. Share your yarn type, count, fibre composition, and quantity and we will confirm sample availability. Physical samples are typically dispatched within 7–10 working days.
What is melange yarn and how is it different from dyed yarn?
Melange yarn is produced by blending different coloured or dyed fibres before spinning — the colour is built into the fibre mix, not applied after spinning. This gives melange yarn its characteristic heathered or flecked appearance. Dyed yarn (bleached white, black dyed, cone dyed) is spun first and then coloured in the dyeing process. Melange is popular for knitwear, casual tops, and sportswear; dyed yarn is used where solid, uniform colour is required.
What countries do you export yarn to?
Abtex International exports yarn to buyers in Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, East Africa, and beyond. All orders are dispatched FOB Karachi with full export documentation. Both sea and air freight options are available, and we can assist with freight forwarding references if required.
What is the difference between CVC and PC yarn?
CVC (Chief Value Cotton) yarn has more than 50% cotton content — it feels softer and more breathable. PC (Polyester Chief Value) yarn has more than 50% polyester — it is more wrinkle-resistant and durable. The distinction matters for customs classification, fabric hand feel, and dyeing behaviour. We supply both CVC and PC yarn types across carded, combed, and open end constructions.
